How to Make Falsa Sherbat

Ingredients.

  • Falsa  (1 cup)
  • Water (1/2 cup)
  • Black salt (according to your taste)
  • Sugar (two teaspoons)
  • Lemon juice (1 small lemon)
  • Salt (according to your taste)
  • Ice cubes

Method.

  1. First wash and drain the falsa, sprinkle a little table salt and leave them for half an hour.
  2. Take the blender and blend all the ingredients mentioned above. Pour it into a container and add some crushed ice cubes.
  3. Add a few leaves of mint to elevate the taste further.

 

SATTU SHERBAT

This summer drink is known for its cooling properties. Sattu is rich in protein, fibre, calcium, iron, and magnesium. The Sherbat is excellent for digestion, makes your skin glow, helps in weight loss and fights numerous diseases.

 

How to Make Sattu Sherbat

Ingredients

  • Chana Sattu (1/2 cup)
  • Chilled water (4 cups)
  • Lemon juice  (2 teaspoons)
  • Roasted Cumin powder  (Half teaspoon)
  • Mint leaves (2 teaspoons chopped)
  • Black salt (to taste)
  • Green chilli (1 chopped)
  • Ice cubes

Method

  1. Add all ingredients in a jug and mix well.
  2. Serve in glasses with some ice cubes.
  3. Garnish with mint leaves.

Ingredients

  • Ripe mangoes (2)
  • Chilled Water (1 cup)
  • Sugar (as per your taste)
  • Ice cubes

Method

  1. Peel and cut the mangoes into small pieces.
  2. Blend them with water and sugar.
  3. Run the mixture through a sieve.
  4. Add ice cubes and serve chilled.

  • Tea bags ( flavoured as per your choice)

Method

  1. Bring two cups of water to boil.
  2. Pour two tea bags of your choice into water. Brew it light or strong as per your liking.

  1. Mix the curd till it becomes smooth.

Ever had an unexpected craving??? Don’t worry its normal

Most people like me have a desire to keep their mouth filled even when you have just eaten a meal, or your mother has not cooked something of your choice. In such a situation what you prefer to do? Visit your kitchen or open up your refrigerator and just stare at it as if it’s going to cook something for you.  So let me inform you please don’t stare at it for more than 10 seconds otherwise you would be hearing the next voice from your mother “Close it Now”. And you would be returning with a dejected look on your face.

 

 

Don’t worry I have a solution for that also. You must gather some kind of little snacks at the start of your month so that you will not have to stare at your refrigerator anymore. You will have an extra advantage if you have a little knowledge of cooking. Things that I would recommend to buy are:

  1. White Bread or if you are more worried about your health then try buying whole-grain bread. It looks brown but tastes good.

  1. The peanut butter is always my favorite. If you haven’t tried you must buy it and give your taste buds a treat.

  1. You should buy dried bananas. I know it sounds crazy but they taste awesome in breakfast. You must add them in a bowl of milk and then eat it. They are a good source of vitamins.

  1. Try buying pop corns. They would help you while watching dramas and movies e.t.c

  1. Try buying dry fruits for your unexpected hunger. They may include oats,almond,peanuts e.t.c. Dry fruits are a complete mixture of fiber and antioxidants so I would prefer them the most. Don’t forget to use some milk with them otherwise, they would be stuck in your throat.

  1. Don’t forget to buy fruits to fill your refrigerator with. Fruits are a good source of vitamins and minerals. These are the only thing which I would never stop loving no matter how you consume it would benefit you.

 

Don’t buy these too much for your month otherwise, your mother might throw them because you will not be eating what she had cooked. Another tip is to hide them in a secret place so that your younger siblings might not approach them.

Trust me if you buy enough for your month you would feel really happy every time you open your refrigerator and pick what you want in less than 10 seconds so your mother won’t say you anything. For people like me, they will stare even when the refrigerator is fulled because this time it would be hard for them to decide what to eat. Yeah, it happens so consider it normal.

Quick advice for you is that don’t consume these much because overeating may lead to unhealthy diet practices. After all home made food is healthy but consuming these sometimes would be great.

Keep visiting your kitchen because unexpected visits may end up with some delicious foods.
